ACTS 9:1-9 & 17-22

Look around!  We see the power of God displayed through His creation, right? At His Word everything was created but man was created to glorify God. But, soon this beautiful relationship that God offered brought separation between God and man when sin entered. This Amazingly Powerful God loves us and deserves our love and commitment to Him because we were made for Him.

In the Bible Passage, we see Paul’s transformation. He was troubling the Christians; he imprisoned and even killed many of them because he did not believe in Jesus who came in the form of man and His sacrifice on the cross.  But Jesus met him. After his encounter with Jesus he was a changed man. Paul was blinded for 3 days as soon as he received sight, he immediately got baptized - an outward form of declaring one’s faith in Jesus. God’s love and His power transform us. He wants us to have a perfect relationship with Him, to obey and honour Him. Leviticus 26:12 says “I …will be your God and you will be my people”.

Just like how we have certain rules to follow in school and in our homes too, if we disobey we are punished only to be disciplined.  God also has set a standard for us to live. He wants us to follow all the commands He has given us so we can have a perfect relationship with Him.  Disobeying God also brings punishment and judgement upon us only to discipline us because of His character “Love”. God’s love is unconditional. But we also have to remember that God is holy and we have to worship Him in holiness. 1 Peter 1:15, “But He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct."

God loves us so much that He went all the way to offer His own Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.  He took the most shameful death on the cross and offered His salvation to live with Him forever. That is the most amazing thing, “To Live with Jesus Forever!"

If you want to experience this perfect relationship with Jesus, hold on to Him, He is reaching out to you…! No matter what your sin, you can turn it over to God and He will forgive you. 1 John 1:9 says “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of our unrighteousness”.

If you have prayed for forgiveness, here’s what God offers you:

  • Gift of eternal life.

  • The Holy Spirit comes in to dwell within you.

  • This relationship lasts forever.
