Lesson & Activity Introduction

Today we are going to talk about the children of God being fearless of the future. Why? Because God controls our future, we shouldn’t be afraid. God takes care of everything. The sun, moon , trees and even you. Remember Moses and the Israelites? They also were scared and they kept grumbling saying, “We have no food or water. Where is God?” but God listened to them; he sent them manna and quail from Heaven. He even told Moses to speak to a rock, so that water could come gushing through. Even when we don’t have what we need, God is ALWAYS watching out for us and providing. Therefore, we do not worry about the future.
So, how do we stop fearing the future? By fearing God and drawing close him. What do we do when we go to class ? We meet new friends. We have to talk to them also so that we can become closer. We do the same with God. When we pray, we talk to God. Then, our friendship with God becomes stronger. When we read the Bible, we get to know who God is. We get to know him better. And we can also share God with everyone. When they get to know God and they trust Him, they also will not have to worry about tomorrow. We should also memorize God’s word. This will help us to live the way God wants us to live. When we obey God, we can also see His promise. All the heroes in the Bible also obeyed God and because of that, they did not worry about their future. When we keep talking to God every day, we become better friends with him. We don’t have to be scared of what tomorrow will look like because we trust God. He knows.
